Uswah Hasanah.

بسم الله الرحمن الرحيم

"satu masa nanti awak pun akan jadi mak bapak"

That's what they always told me. I guess they always wanted me to think carefully and think about the next generations that is yet to come. Fikir panjang. Whatever that I do now, will shape the kind of adult that I will be in the future. Those adults that we were inspired by (mostly our parents) were once like us.

Depa lagi lah power. Most of them come from rural areas (anda dikecualikan jika atuk nenek anda adalah golongan kapitalis, bangsawan, pak menteri dan sebagainya ya) but they thrived and look at where they are now. Having us as children, their booming career and so on.

This morning, I went out from breakfast with Mak Ayah and we talked about Ayah's new watch, slump in oil price, bau tahi kucing bawah meja, too of much of MSG dalam kari and so much more, when I realized that my parents are beginning to treat me more like friends since the past couple of years.

Dulu aku rasa takut betul nak sembang dgn dorang. Takut salah cakap, kena tiyao (read : bebel) haha. Sampai skrg pun kalau aku merepek lebih sikit, still kena tiyao tapi tu lah, makin besar, takda lah merepek sangat pun. I can now see where Im going --to where they've said to me years ago. Im embarking that journey to be like them, like one of those parents out there.

Ah come on guys. No, Im not getting married. No. No. Hahaha.

ni dua orang yg telah tabah dgn segala perangai aku hahahaha

Kawan-kawan, there's a lot that we can learn from our parents. Every word they said, everything they do, every mistake they made, are lessons to us. Kutip satu-satu, simpan dalam otak. Sebab satu masa nanti dorang akan pergi dan kita akan tinggal sendiri.

Look at your parents and they are your inspiration. Either to be as good as them, or to improve and be better than them.

Can you imagine someday in future, some people are going to look up to us for advice and they'll take us as role models? Who are they? Our freaking children weyyy hahahaha.

What are we going to tell them?

"ohh mak dulu lepak cafe hipster, minum starbucks, pegi kelas balik kelas je. takda buat apa sgt lah. cuti sem mereput tgk GoT je. oh and dear, you should watch GoT tau! Jon Snow tu charming teruk"

Paling ideal kau ni anisah hahahaha.

Mak Ayah pernah ajar aku kalau setiap kali aku tgk orang yg dah berjaya, senang, kaya, mewah, hebat, mereka-mereka ni mesti mesti mesti messssstiiiiii pernah lalui perkara yg dahsyat teruk dalam hidup, yg buat dorang bangkit. Jadi kita jangan judge atau iri hati bila tgk orang yg lagi senang drpd kita, sbb dia pernah lalui benda yg lagi perit drpd kita dan kita masih dekat bawah lagi, takda apa-apa.

dan lagi satu benda deep mak ayah aku selalu tiyao aku...

"nak tunggu Mak Ayah dah takda baru nak sedar ke?"

Adoi sentap betul. Hahaha.
and if you ask how can I be mentally strong? My parents are the answer, I was trained to be a strong minded, brave and sturdy brat.

So, there you go, bebelan hari ini.
panjang pulak post ni -.-
Dah lah. Penat taip.

ps : Semoga rahmat Allah sentiasa bersama mak dan ayah. Aaaaminnn :)
